WELCOME TO RIVERSDALE LOG CABIN

Riversdale Self-Catering is a handcrafted log cabin made from Scandinavian pine, located in a secluded setting adjoining Lough Key, the Boyle River & Clarendon Lough. Riversdale Self-Catering is run by the Burke family who have a long history in the hospitality industry. 

Visitors can enjoy beautiful scenic walks around our own private forest or a peaceful stroll along the river. Riversdale Self-Catering is an ideal destination for guests who wish to fish the local river or Lough Key. For more information on a fishing holiday, click here.

The cabins are a short walk to the Moorings Country Pub and Restaurant overlooking a marina and a short drive to the historic town of Boyle. The historic landmarks of Boyle include King House, a Georgian mansion and the famous 12th century Boyle Abbey. 

Riversdale Self-Catering provide lake boats to visitors who wish to explore the historic islands of Lough Key. There are many historic islands on Lough Key, all with a story to tell. The most famous is Castle Island containing the remains of a 17th century castle and known for its legendary love story, the Legend of Úna Bhán.

Lough key Forest and Activity Park is a short distance from Riversdale. The park offers something for everyone from exploring the historic landscape to zip lining and woodland segway, for the more adventurous!

Accommodation

*3 bedrooms; two twin rooms downstairs and an open plan double room upstairs overlooking the  living area. 

*Riversdale cabin has a fully fitted Kitchen with all modern appliances, including a microwave,  washing  machine and dryer, satellite TV, DVD player, clothes line and clothes pegs, hairdryer, iron  and Ironing board, hairdryer.

*The comfortable living area has a wood burning stove.

*Front & side roofed veranda.

*A supply of linen, towels and a welcome pack of tea, coffee, bread, butter, milk, fire-lighter and  timber for the stove is provided to all guests checking in to Riversdale Self Catering.

*Barbeque, travel cot and high chair available on request.

*Secure parking and a large safe open area for children to play.
